Injecting before excavating
17 meter well, Glons (BE)
In the Liège region, a well with a depth of 17 metres had to be realised in a rocky subsoil. Due to the proximity of a river and the presence of several aquifer cracks in the rocky soil, the groundwater proved uncontrollable.
To limit water inflow, the surrounding area was injected with various products in several stages before excavation. These injections aimed at sealing all the aquifer cracks and bonding the rocks together.
