Ground anchor installation for jet grout and soilmix retaining walls

For the construction of a new residential apartment complex, both a jet grout wall and a soilmix retaining wall required permanent anchoring to ensure the stability of the excavation works under demanding geotechnical conditions.

Future Foundations was responsible for the design and execution of the anchoring works. Based on the varying soil conditions across the site, a combination of bar anchors and double-cased strand anchors was selected to provide the most suitable and efficient technical solution for each zone of the excavation.

The project was executed under particularly challenging site conditions, as groundwater levels within the excavation pit proved to be significantly higher than initially anticipated. These elevated groundwater pressures required continuous adaptation of the execution methodology and careful monitoring throughout the works to maintain stability and ensure installation quality.

Despite the difficult conditions, Future Foundations successfully completed the anchoring operations, delivering a reliable support system for both retaining wall structures while maintaining the project schedule and ensuring safe excavation progress.
