Jet grouting

The Oosterweelproject (Oosterweel link) is a massive infrastructure project in Antwerp designed to complete the Antwerp Ring Road by closing its northern section. Often referred to as the "construction project of the century," it is notable for its complexity, scale, and long-term impact on the city's mobility.

In the sub-area known as the 'Canal Tunnels', the ring road is being constructed beneath an existing canal. Therefore, water-retaining walls and dams have been constructed. As a jet-grouting specialist, Future Foundations was contracted to ensure ground and watertightness in situations where conventional methods were not feasible or failed to achieve the desired result.

With over 30 years' experience in this field, our engineering specialists were able to propose bespoke solutions for every problem encountered while adhering to our client's tight schedule. Due to the importance of watertightness for such works, it was necessary to verify the quality and diameter up to depts of 39 metres. Thanks to the dedication of our teams and the implementation of state-of-the-art techniques we were able to meet these extensive requirements.
