D-walls with Cube System
Creating slurry walls in confined spaces
Meet the Cube system, a miniaturised slurry wall machine, capable of creating slurry walls in confined spaces such as tunnels or below existing structures.
The cube system is a cooperation between Denys and Bauer Machinen GmbH, using a slurry wall system based upon Bauer's hydrocutter technology. It allows us to create slurry walls out of underground low headroom spaces, such as micro tunnels of 4 m diameter, galleries of 3 by 3 meter or any other low headroom space.
A 21st century solution to facilitate subterranean construction in densely populated or built-up areas.
On the surface an access shaft of only 6 x 8 m is needed, which highly reduces the above ground impact. The machine with a size of 2,9 x 2,4 x 18 m (h x w x l) is built out of four high cube containers. Walls of up to 40 m depth and 1 m width can be created using this system.
On the field
The Cube System can be used for various types of projects such as the construction of underground railway stations and parking space, the extension of buildings with subterranean floor levels, or underground parking space. At this moment, the Cube System is used for the first time within the TM ROCO on the Oosterweel Link project in Antwerp.
